BackRig is a desktop application designed to create backup copies of Microsoft SQL Server databases and upload them to user-selected destinations such as Google Drive, FTP servers, or local folders.

Data We Collect

• Account information (such as email address and license data).
• Subscription and plan details.
• Device identifier used for license binding.
• Backup job metadata (run time, status, size, destination).

Data We Do NOT Access

• We do not read or analyze the content of your databases.
• We do not inspect backup file contents.
• We do not access your Google Drive files except those created by the app using your authorization.

Google Drive Access

When you enable Google Drive upload, BackRig uses your granted OAuth permission only to upload backup files created by the application. No unrelated files are accessed, modified, or deleted.

Data Usage

• To validate licenses and subscriptions.
• To enforce plan limits and quotas.
• To display usage statistics.
• To improve service reliability.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Data is only used for operating and securing the BackRig service.

Security

We apply standard security practices to protect account and license data. Backup files are stored only in destinations selected and authorized by the user.
